Margaret zooming to the rescue

Margaret has the toughest job in the office – organising Gareth! That his numerous travel arrangements and busy calendar are all executed without a hitch is due to Margaret’s amazing organisational talents and her finely tuned sixth sense of what Gareth needs (which includes whipping across Oriental Bay to pick him up for meetings). Margaret also handles applications made to the Morgan Foundation.

Donna crunches the numbers

Since joining us in 2000 Donna has worked her way up from office manager to being one of the go-to people for the business when it comes to financial accounts, administrative details of the business and now scheme accounts. Mrs dependable works part time, though sometimes that’s not at all obvious given her output. She’s a ball of energy which is just as well because her two boys (plus dog, and no, it doesn’t look like her at all!) keep her, on their toes. Donna does find time now again to pursue her passion and skill as an accomplished photographer.

Lynne keeps it afloat

Lynne helps keep the office running smoothly. She’s had lots of experience at the multitude of tasks associated with such a role - she spent 20 years at HP in various office management positions. She has brought a wealth of knowledge and skills to our business. Her focus is on employment administration and she keeps the pressure on senior management to cross and dot their Ts and Is, as well as handling most payroll inquires. Lynne works part time but her chirpy personality makes it easy to know when she’s in the office.

Ride, Sally, Ride

With hobbies galore ranging from cycling and rock 'n roll dancing to playing numerous musical instruments, it’s a wonder Sally has time to be GMI’s trusty financial accountant. Definitely not one to shy away from her Irish ancestry, Sally plays the flute, bohdran (an Irish drum), acoustic bass, guitar, and all manner of tin whistles, which you might just find her playing at your nearest folk festival. Originally trained as a kindergarten teacher, Sally changed track to become an Associate Chartered Accountant, working for an asset management company and non-profit organisations before joining Team GMI. Number-crunching aside, Sally's real passion is for people, and her house often bustles with foster kids and boarders as well as hubby, daughters and grandsons. It’s top gear all the way for Sally.

Justine tickles the GM-Ivories

Justine has studied classical music and piano, and she definitely hits all the right notes in her role supporting (or is that conducting?) the Client Adviser team. Active enough to enjoy a bit of running, but sensible enough to keep away from any marathon entry forms, our maestro Justine applies the same level-headed wisdom to making sure things are in tune for the Client Advisers. Her baking skills are worthy of a standing ovation too.

Game, set and match for Ginny

A background as both a PA and a Teacher Aide gives Ginny the advantage to serve up some aces in keeping the GMI office in order. A love of travel has seen Ginny explore Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada and the USA, but home is where the heart is in Wellington, not to mention her favourite local haunt - the city’s most iconic movie theatre. When she is not at the movies or playing tennis, she can be found cheering on her sons’ tennis and hockey teams, as well as hunting for photo opportunities with her favourite tennis stars (2D versions are acceptable).
