Rob - on a slippery slope or in control?
You may well ask this when it comes to Rob. His role of ensuring we all are happy campers and fulfilling our potential while ensuring GMI clients get state-of-the-art portfolio management service is unenviable. But then his prowess on the slopes is too.
Anthony swoops in
Anthony joined GMI on transfer from Tottenham Hotspur, where he filled in the offseason with roles in the British corporate finance industry. Anthony spent time in GMI’s client care team before moving into the compliance team. Here he has reconnected with his inner accountant and looks after, amongst other things, GMI tax. Outside of the office Anthony is a sports freak, dividing his spare time between football, squash, mountain biking and the physiotherapist’s table.

Hilary - Hello Sailor
After more than 10 years experience in the financial industry, Hilary is now tasked with ensuring the good ship GMI doesn’t spring any leaks. One day we’ll even think of a job title for her, but she makes sure that we comply with all the rules and she’ll keelhaul the people who don’t. Although she’d rather do a tack than do tax, it’s all still plain sailing for her.
Multi-tasking Kris
Compliance commandant by day, keen cook, sportswoman, and performer when she’s got the time. She dreams of having her own cooking show, but the reality is Kris is our in-house legal eagle. She might have been a late starter in the law but her previous experience in the funds management industry is worth its weight in text books. Compliance is a crucial and ever-changing area of the business so Kris’s creative pastimes are a welcome break from the rigors of the law.
Fiona - Cruising through compliance
It’s a marvel that Fiona found her way to GMI after growing up in various exotic locations, like Samoa, Zambia…and Naenae. With a degree in PE and nutrition from Otago Uni, Fiona undertook extensive ‘field research’ on the nutritional values of cider before spending a couple of years working on cruise ships and having the obligatory stint in London, then finding the not-so-obligatory Welsh husband. Recently returned to the workforce from full-time motherhood, Fiona joins the Compliance team to make sure all our procedures are well documented and running tickety-boo.
Special Agent Stephan
Stephan’s role as Special Projects Manager is probably the closest we will get to hiring a secret agent... here we see him under cover in Afghanistan (or maybe Iraq, or maybe Iran, we can’t say for sure). Stephan first enlisted in GMI while studying law in NZ, Sweden and Hamburg, which all adds to his aura of being an international man of mystery. Stephan has had several stints with GMI over the years, his latest following secret missions in Singapore, Cambodia, Europe and Nepal. Not that we can confirm nor deny where he has been or what he is currently working on. Or whether Stephan is indeed his real name
