CONTRIBUTIONS REPORT
Your contributions report only shows amounts that we have received from IRD or directly from you (by cheque or direct debit). It does not show any employee or employer contributions that have not yet been transferred to us.
If the amounts on your statement are not what you expected, here‘s what to do:
EMPLOYEE OR EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTION MISSING?
It can take more than three months from when contributions are deducted from your pay and when they show in your KiwiSaver account.
- They may still be with your employer, waiting to be transferred to IRD.
- They may be being processed or held at IRD. IRD will hold your first contribution for 3 months before transferring to us. Call IRD’s helpline: 0800 5494 7283 for a status report.
- Please don‘t contact us to ask us about missing employee or employer contributions. You must follow this up with IRD.
DIRECT DEBIT MISSING?
If a scheduled direct debit contribution is not showing on your KiwiSaver account, here’s what to do:
- Check your bank statement to confirm that the money was deducted from your account.
- If you set up the direct debit with IRD, call IRD’s helpline: 0800 5494 7283 to follow it up.
- If you set up the direct debit with GMK, contact us on 0800 465 015 or lodge an enquiry here.
CHEQUE PAYMENT MISSING?
If you mailed us a cheque and it’s not showing on your account, here’s what to do:
- If you made the cheque payment through IRD, call IRD’s helpline: 0800 5494 7283 to follow it up.
- If you made the cheque payment to GMK and the cheque has cleared your account, contact us on 0800 465 015 or lodge an enquiry here.
- If you made the cheque payment to GMK and the cheque has not cleared your account: Allow time for the mail (freepost takes longer than regular mail) and allow five working days for the cheque to be processed, deposited and cleared at your bank. If you suspect the cheque is missing, contact us on 0800 465 015 or lodge an enquiry here.
KICK-START AND FEE SUBSIDY MISSING OR ZERO BALANCE?
Note that members joining after 1 April 2009 will not be entitled to receive the fee subsidy.
- Allow at least 3 months from the month of your enrolment for the kick-start and fee subsidy to be transferred.
- If you joined GMK more than three months ago and the kick-start and fee subsidy are missing, call us on 0800 465015 or email us.
ALL MY CONTRIBUTIONS AREN‘T SHOWING IN MY INVESTMENT POSITION
Your contribution report shows all the money that is transferred into your GMK account. It is updated every day a transfer is made.
The Investment Position reports shows where your money was invested on the last day of each month. It is updated monthly.
So if you got money transferred into your account on April 5, for example, it would not show on your March Investment Position report. It would show on your Investment Position report for 30 April.
